A former guard at a juvenile detention middle in St. Charles has been discovered responsible of prompting detainees to intimidate and assault one another, officers stated.

Michael M. Klimek, 46, of Yorkville, was discovered responsible by a jury final week of official misconduct and aggravated battery in a public place, Kane County State’s Lawyer’s Workplace officers stated in a information launch.

In January 2016, Klimek, a guard at Illinois Youth Heart in St. Charles, facilitated and inspired sure juvenile detainees to bodily assault different juvenile detainees and stood idly by throughout the assaults, prosecutors stated.
