A four-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 17-year-old boy in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur. The horrifying act was reported from an area which falls under the jurisdiction of Deoriya police station and the minor victim was abducted from Deoriya Purani market.
Albeit the incident happened on 5th January, it became known when the victim’s condition worsened during her treatment. The victim’s mother went to the police and filed a complaint when the girl was taken to the hospital. After which the accused was apprehended.
According to a report by the Times of India, the minor was allegedly raped on January 5 at 4.30 pm in the evening in the backyard of the house. The victim’s mother alleged in the FIR that her daughter was taken to an isolated area by the minor where she was raped, Deoriya police station SHO Uday Kumar Singh said.
The minor victim was playing all by herself on January 5 when the accused offered her chocolates and took her out of the house. The accused took her to an isolated area in the house’s backyard and reportedly raped her.
After returning home, the minor victim narrated the horrifying ordeal to her mother.
Currently, the minor victim is undergoing treatment at Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital and her medical has been carried out, as per reports, police said she was not in a stable condition to record her statement.
The parents of the accused who reportedly helped him flee and pressurised the victim’s family to not approach the police have also been nabbed. His parents were held on Tuesday while the accused had managed to run away. However, police arrested the accused from Deoriya Purani Bazar.
The reports revealed that at first, the victim’s parents were reluctant to register a complaint because of social stigma and the fear of the boy’s family. Her mother lodged a police complaint when her husband came to Muzaffarpur on Tuesday.
